Buying a stairlift has its benefits: you get a longer warranty, a band new lift that is much less likely to go breakdown and so on. However, hiring a stairlift has its benefits too. By hiring a stairlift you can see whether or not you get along with it before committing to a brand new one and spending lots of money. You can see if it works with your lifestyle and suits your wants and needs.

Hiring a stairlift is also ideal for those who only need it on a short-term basis. For example, if you have a short-term illness or break your leg for example. They are also ideal for those on palliative care plans.

Wondering about how it all works? Well, usually there is a set amount you will pay to cover the installation of the stairlift and then an on-going monthly amount. Curved stairlifts may be slightly different. If you are unsure, or have more questions don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Hiring a stairlift is usually cheaper than buying if you only have stairlift for a short amount of time. If you would like to hire for a long period of time, but are on a tight budget, then buying a reconditioned stairlift may be more cost effective.
